Bear the truth you can

No Paul am I —
aim not so high —
but Anani-
as — can I try
to listen, Lord,
& keep your word,
& make it heard?
Praise undeterred

Reading the passage in Acts about Paul in Damascus, approached by Ananias at Jesus’ command, brought my attention to this NT “second banana”: no Paul, but with a role to play.
